Our Science Council members focus on pupil engagement, leadership, and promoting a positive science culture in our school.
Their work involves:
Pupil Voice & Feedback

Sharing what children enjoy in science and what could be improved.

Feeding back to teachers about science lessons, clubs, and investigations.

Contributing to surveys or monitoring linked to the Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM) evidence.
Promoting Science

Leading science assemblies, challenges, or competitions.

Acting as “Science Ambassadors” during Science Week or STEM days.

Encouraging peers to see the relevance and excitement of science.
Leadership & Responsibility

Helping set up and organise science resources or investigations.

Modelling good attitudes to scientific enquiry (curiosity, resilience, teamwork).

Working with the Science Subject Leader to trial new ideas.
Community & Wider Links

Showcasing science learning to parents, governors, or visitors.

Helping build links with local organisations (e.g., STEM ambassadors, secondary schools).
