Play Leaders
Our Play Leaders are responsible for organising and running lunchtime games and activities for the younger children in our school. One of the most important attributes for a Play Leader is to be a positive role model.
At St Mary Magdalene Catholic Primary we link all aspects of our learning to five specific learning powers: Curiosity, Concentration, Co-operation, Resilience and Self-Improvement. Our Play Leaders encourage all pupils to refer to our Learning Powers in all that they do.
As a Rights Respecting School, we use the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC – UNICEF) to underpin the planning and delivery of school-based activities (Article 2, Article 3, Article 12, Article 15, Article 29, Article 31).
Play Leaders lead by example; they teach our children to play fairly and be part of a team, to show resilience when things go wrong, and how to be a gracious winner.
