Parish Priest
Dear Parents and Carers,
As parish priest of St. Mary Magdalene’s Parish, Bexhill-on-Sea, may I welcome you to St. Mary Magdalene School.
Recognising the important role of parents as first educators of their children, the Church has always encouraged them to take responsibility for educating and forming their children in accord with their beliefs.
The church seeks to achieve three purposes through her commitment and investment in catholic education
- To help everyone within the school community to grow in faith;
- To make the most of every ability they have been given, and,
- To achieve academic excellence and to prepare well for adult life in a modern and diverse society.
St Mary Magdalene Catholic Primary School is a fine example of this great and valued approach.
I have been the priest in charge in Bexhill since November 2024.
Previously, I was the assistant priest at St Joseph's, Epsom, and trained for the priesthood at St John’s Seminary, Wonersh.
I am local to the area, coming from Hastings, and, after university, I was a teacher for a number of years.
I am delighted to be a priest in the town where I spent so many happy hours when growing up.
Yours ever,
Father Stephen
